Lawn Fertilization

My name is Bill Mackie. I have owned and operated T.L.C. for over 25 years. My staff and myself have the experience and knowledge to keep your lawn healthy and lush throughout the season. We are fully licensed and Insured and offer Free Estimates and lawn care analysis.
Lawn Fertilizing is the best way to ensure a healthy lawn, free of disease and weeds, with the strength to recover from stress. Our lawn maintenance division has the experience to select the proper blend of fertilizers to make your lawn beautiful, dense and durable. While lawns generally need nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, the blend of these three additives varies with the type and condition of the grass being treated. That’s where our lawn care experts use their knowledge to provide the best results.

Lawn Care

Nitrogen is the critical ingredient of most fertilizers. Too much can cause excessive growth, with issues on the top of the grass. Most fertilizers are water insoluble, allowing for a slow-release of the nitrogen. But there are times and situations when a fast release nitrogen is required. Our lawn maintenance technicians know what is needed and when is the best time to apply.

Lawn Service

High levels of potassium are used for winter feedings. This ingredient defends against disease and other stress factors. It even makes your lawn more tolerant to heat and cold extremes. Phosphorus is used for all lawns, but levels of this ingredient need to be raised for new lawns and freshly laid sod.

Our lawn service specialists also have a wide variety of weed killers and herbicides. Whatever the situation, their technicians from Tender lawn Care can apply the right fertilizers at the right time.

Hydroseeding

How Hydroseeding Works

Hydroseeding involves combining water, grass seed, fertilizer, bonding agent, and wood-based mulch in a big tank to form a loose slurry. The solution is then sprayed directly into the soil using a discharge nozzle under high pressure. It’s an alternative to both laying sod and traditional dry-seeding, in which seed, mulch, and fertilizer are spread separately and then watered. Despite the fact that it is a precise operation that needs no specialist equipment, traditional dry-seed planting takes longer and requires a significant amount of effort. Tender Lawn Care is a Long Island Hydroseeding professional that has the equipment and the trained staff to complete your project.
